RE: Lotus Notes AND Crystal Reports ~Cheryl Eklulitlen 1.Jul.03 03:10 PM a Web browser Notes Client All ReleasesWindows XP
Hi Matthias,
For starters, if you don't have a Tech. Support contract set up w/ Crystal Decisions, get one (if your IT budget allows for it). I've been through the Lotus/Crystal thing BOTH using Domino as the webserver (no longer works in R6), and using IIS as the web server (works fine with R6 Notes databases as the data source and can be launched from within the Notes environment over web). However, I may have never gotten as far as I did without the Tech. Support at Crystal-- there are just too many issues on the server/web server/viewere/data connection sides to be able to get through them all on your own.
Btw, are you just using the Report Designer to author reports and trying to use it to distribute those reports? Report distribution doesn't work too well just using the Crystal reports designer, you also need to implement Crystal Enterprise to publish/access these reports over the web. See what I mean about it getting complicated? Let me know if I can answer any more questions.
